Call for Conservation Bursary Application

The International Maple Society seeks to encourage research on the maple species worldwide. Following support of previous work, the International Maple Society is providing a £1200 bursary for a project focused on the conservation of maple species. We are inviting interested institutions or individuals to apply for the grant. The applicant must comply with the following criteria:

  1. The applicant must be a member of the International Maple Society, which includes the North American Branch and the members from the UK and other parts of the world;
  2. Deadline for submissions is 30 April 2024. Please email v_karaman_castro@maplesociety.org for an application form;
  3. Members of the Taxonomic Working Group of the International Maple Society will have the deciding vote on which project to support;
  4. If successful then the International Maple Society will:
    a: expect a full written report covering all aspects of the project, once complete;
    b: need a short report (around 1500 words) with images to go into our newsletter.
  5. This bursary can fund all or part of a larger project;
  6. Submissions via email will be accepted.
